JBAR® is our unique, patented, flood defence system designed to protect key assets.
With ageing infrastructure and the effects of climate change making utility compounds, substations, external plants and associated structures increasingly vulnerable to flooding incidents, JBAR® provides a permanent solution to stopping flood water in its tracks and preventing spills and leaking from entering surrounding ground and watercourses.
Developed initially to deal with oil containment, JBAR® features an integrated sump and is versatile, modifiable on-site, and non-conductive. Capable of retaining and withstanding fluids from either side, the system is suitable for use in a wide range of industries and applications and is a quick, practical and cost-effective way to extend asset life, avoid fines from regulators for contamination and pollution, and minimise downtime and on-site disruption.
Also, having recently passed a Double JBAR 1600 Load Test at Lancaster University, JBAR® is now proven under test conditions to effectively provide flood protection for a height range of 300-1600mm. This means the system is able to meet almost every flood protection challenge in the market.
To provide complete protection, JBAR® can be used in conjunction with Adler & Allan’s protective coatings and linings to deliver a long-term solution to hazardous spill containment and ingress.
Our polyurea spray lining is the toughest and most durable protective coating available, effectively preventing deterioration and extending the life of a range critical assets by forming a waterproof and chemical barrier.
